Moneyline: who wins
Pick the winner. Basketball has no draw: overtime plays until there is a winner, and overtime counts for the moneyline. Short prices mean a strong favourite, long prices an underdog. The two prices carry a small margin, shown beside the market.
Total points: over or under
Bet on the combined score of both teams, overtime included. Totals are set on half-points such as 214.5, so there is always a winner.
Totals depend on pace and shooting. The court below shades the usual shooting zones: shots at the rim and from the corner go in far more often than long twos, which is why modern teams take so many threes.
Betting while the game is live
Live prices move with the score and the clock. Only the moneyline stays open once a game has started, and cash out opens on your bets. The price you tap is the price you get, unless it moves first: then you are asked to accept the new one.
Betting is entertainment, not income. Set a limit before you start, and take a break when you need one: limits and breaks.
